Frequently asked questions about online therapy services based in California

  • I am not a doctor or psychologist. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of California. My clients usually refer to me by my first name, Veronica or Ms. Loera.

  • I am an out-of-network provider and only accept cash/credit card payments. You may check with your insurance provider for any possible reimbursement. I can provide you with an itemized bill often referred to as a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company. The itemized bill is not a guarantee of reimbursement by your insurance and it will be your responsibility to check directly with the insurance company regarding requirements for possible reimbursement. Payment for services will be required at the time of the services.

  • My standard fee is $150 per 50-minute session and $175 per 75-minute session. Appointments longer than 75 minutes will be charged on a pro-rated basis for any additional time.

  • At this time, I am not providing in-person appointments, but provide the convenience of telehealth/online video sessions anywhere in the state of California.

  • If you need to cancel an appointment, I ask that you please provide me with a 24-hour notice prior to the scheduled appointment. Any appointment that is not canceled with 24-hour notice will be charged at the full rate of $150.

  • Yes. Although my specialty is in trauma work, I have had experience in working with other issues including but not limited to anxiety and depression. For more information, check out my services page.
